Harriet Tubman $20 Bill Postponed Until 2028

Well it looks like we will have to wait another nine years before we will see Harriet Tubman on the twenty dollar bill. Wow, the redesign of the bill will no longer be unveiled in 2020, it has been postponed until 2028. The new bill was going to make its debut to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote, but according to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, it's not going to happen anytime soon. Drats.

Andrew Jackson is currently on the $20 bill and he was to be replaced by Harriet Tubman on the front, but his image would remain on the back of the bill. That may be a bit confusing, seeing as how for centuries we have had the same imagery on the front and back of U.S. currency.

I think Ms. Tubman should grace the front and back of the $20 bill because she has made a substantial contribution to American society. I guess it's better late than never, so waiting until 2028 it is. In the meantime, I'll be saving my "dubs" because I know
