President Trump's Tweet On The Loss of Congressman Cummings

After months of criticizing him and throwing darts at his work in congress, President Trump sent a tweet giving condolences to the family of Congressman Elijah Cummings who died Thursday. The congressman died after suffering from complications from longtime health issues at the age of 68.

I really wish people, especially those in positions of power and authority, could be more compassionate in the way they speak to others, whether it be face to face or through social media. You never know what someone is going through. That person you're offending or being mean to may be dealing with issues that may already have them feeling low.

This tweet should be an example of the way communication is shared from one of the most powerful people in the world. All that other stuff should be cancelled. It's time for change in the way we view one another, speak to one another, and most importantly treat one another.

Rest in peace congressman Elijah Cummings. For all the tireless work in congress and as a civil rights leader, job well done.
