Chicago's South Shore Drill Team To Perform At NBA All-Star Game

I am so happy and proud of one of Chicago's very own -- the South Shore Drill Team. They will be participating in NBA All-Star activities, performing during Halftime of the celebrity game! But not only that, they will also be performing at the Rising Star Challenge. This is huge!

Keep in mind the NBA All-Star weekend hasn't been in Chicago since 1988 when it was held at the 'Madhouse on Madison!' It's time we saw all the activities in Chicago again and it's a good look that the South Shore Drill team can be represented. Chance the Rapper and Common will also perform during Halftime.

Props to Mr. Arthur Robertson who is the founder and executive director of the South Shore Drill Team. Thank you sir for 40 years of commitment, hard work and saving our youth by giving them an opportunity to learn a skill and what teamwork means. What a blessing to be able to have such a major platform to shine as the team celebrates its 40th year! Sixty students between the ages of 8 and 24 will perform, and it will be a wonderful sight to see.

Congratulations South Shore Drill Team!
