The Weeknd Set To Perform At Super Bowl 2021 Halftime Show

The NFL has announced that pop star The Weeknd will be performing at the halftime show at the Super Bowl.

The Grammy Award-winning artist says he is humbled and honored to be the center of attention on the big stage. But of course there will be some restrictions due to the pandemic. Anything can happen at the rate coronavirus cases are climbing by the day, but no matter what happens he'll still be performing - even if it has to be virtual (which I highly doubt).

Props to the NFL for selecting The Weeknd, who has a crazy social media following and who appeals to a younger audience and more people of color. The league took a step back from the classic rock bands that may appeal to a certain audience.

It was a good choice because The Weeknd definitely has some hits, with at least five of them reaching the top of the charts. The halftime show will be produced by Jay Z and Roc Nation. Looks like Feb. 7th is going to be a real good weekend.
